FOR YOUR PRODUCTION

Your production never sits idle.

Manufacturing, administration and sites need a resilient connection. We bring infrastructure, workplaces and OT security into line.

INDUSTRY & MANUFACTURING / STARTING POINT

What shapes
your everyday work.

  • 01

Office and shop floor are connected

ERP, control room and machine controls exchange data. A disruption in the office network can therefore reach all the way into production.

  • 02

    Remote maintenance from outside

Machine manufacturers need access to their equipment. Not every one of these connections runs through the central firewall.

  • 03

    Equipment outlives IT

Controllers and operator PCs run for many years. Updates are often only possible during the maintenance window.

INDUSTRY & MANUFACTURING / YOUR BENEFIT

What you
gain.

  • 01

    Strengthen availability

Plan critical dependencies and recovery together.

  • 02

    Separate IT and OT

Design access paths and network segments deliberately.

  • 03

    Connect sites

Simplify collaboration and operations across sites.

SERVICES & SCOPE

Responsibility starts with clarity.

We clarify in advance which services make sense, who is responsible for what and how you can tell that progress is being made.

  • IT/OT segmentation
  • Site networks and SD-WAN
  • Servers, storage and backup
  • Identity protection and administrative access
  • Controlled remote maintenance for machine manufacturers
  • Modern workplace

FRAMEWORK & OBLIGATIONS

What laws and
standards require.

General guidance with sources, as of October 2026. It does not replace legal advice; the assessment of each individual case remains with you.
  • NISG 2026 (NIS2)

    NIS2 in your sector

The Austrian NIS Act (NISG 2026) has applied since October 1, 2026. In manufacturing, it covers machinery, electronics, electrical equipment and vehicle manufacturing, among others, as well as chemicals and food, generally from medium enterprise size (Annex 2, §§ 24 and 25). Covered entities register within three months of its entry into force (§ 29(3)).

  • LAW

    Cyber Resilience Act for manufacturers

Since September 11, 2026, manufacturers of products with digital elements have been reporting actively exploited vulnerabilities and severe security incidents via the ENISA reporting platform (Art. 14). The remaining requirements apply from December 11, 2027 (Art. 71).

  • LAW

Machinery Regulation from January 20, 2027

The new Machinery Regulation requires protection against corruption: connections and remote access must not lead to a hazardous situation, safety-relevant software must be protected, and interventions must be traceable (Annex III, section 1.1.9; application under Art. 54).

  • STANDARD

    IEC 62443 as a framework

The IEC 62443 series of standards describes the security of industrial automation and control systems across the entire lifecycle, from technology and processes to people.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Answered
briefly.

Is our business covered by NIS2?

That depends on activity and size. In manufacturing, the Austrian NIS Act (NISG 2026) covers machinery, electronics, electrical equipment and vehicle manufacturing, among others, generally from medium enterprise size. The free NIS2 applicability check cites the section for every statement; the legal assessment remains with you.

Does TOMORIS also scan our production systems?

Only by agreement. Active scans can disrupt sensitive controllers. Together we determine which areas are checked and how, and we start with the network and the transitions.

How do we handle manufacturers’ remote maintenance access?

We consolidate it in one central place: personalized and logged. That way it remains traceable who accessed what and when.

Do we have to stop production for this?

We plan changes in your maintenance windows and with a fallback plan. Anything that must not fail, we clarify before implementation.
